Geography according to Michiganders

This is a response to all my East Coast friends who don’t even know where Michigan is on a map, or that it’s shaped like a mitten.

I’ve been told by a friend *cough* *cough* KIM *cough* that East Coasters can name every state from Maine on down to Florida (or FLAWR-IH-DAH according to the Philadelphia accent) and that the rest is just a gray blob.

Something similar to what you see below.

But thanks to a Facebook friend who isn’t really a friend, I stumbled across this gem, THE MITTEN STATE’S POINT OF VIEW.

Given, it’s not the whole U.S., but I think that is pretty accurate…we tend not to venture out of Michigan too much because of it’s pure awesomeness.

Unless we’re going to Florida. Florida is a Michigander’s oasis for some reason. Every time I go there (and I’ve been there probably 10 times in my life), I run into a ton of people who happen to be from Michigan too.

Anywho, BEHOLD!

I love it! But in my opinion, Indiana = Cornfields and Ohio = Speed Trap/Armpit of America. ;)

This is fantastic. As a Michigander, and a fellow geography nerd- I would have to agree. You should swing by my site. I think you’d like it. http://www.50statesdesignproject.com

    Cheers.
